Essex Youth Voices save the date!

We are pleased to announce the date for Essex Youth Voice Day 2026.

This event is a partnership between Essex VVU, Essex Boys and Girls Clubs and Essex Council for Voluntary Youth Services (ECVYS), along with a wide range of youth providers across Essex. This year the event will be held in Chelmsford (location TBC) Saturday 17 October from 9.30 to 3.30pm.

Youth Voice Day is an opportunity for Essex young people aged 11 to 24 to have their voice heard by senior leaders across the county.

In previous years the day has covered topics such as youth violence; online safety; mental health and resilience; safety in the community and violence against women and girls. Young people have presented ideas and solutions on how to make their communities safer, and initiatives on how to make them and their peers feel safe.

Many of these ideas have then been taken away by the V&V Partnership to be developed or implemented, for example this has included funding to upgrade, improve and increase youth provision in the county and funding for more detached youth workers.

Organised by Essex Boys and Girls Clubs, the day includes workshops, activities, a lovely free lunch(!) and the chance to network and meet with other young people and community leaders in the county.

We look forward to seeing you there.
