The Violence and Vulnerability Partnership is focusing on five priority work areas in 2020/21, based on our learning from 2019/20 and the Serious Violence Problem Profile.

Working with our communities
To target locations, geographically and at key points where we can reach out to people (including health settings), based on our local analysis.
Targeting interventions
To develop the capacity of the Southend, Essex and Thurrock workforce and support them in their delivery.
Developing the workforce
To better understand provision across the County and whether it is effective (including developing the data picture; and sharing our insights to bring about change).
Communications - raising awareness
To focus on a small number of individuals which create the most harm (delivering interventions directly with this cohort, particularly at critical junctures in their lives, to reduce the harm and risk to them and to the wider community)
Improving our understanding
To engage and work with communities, listening and working together to build responses to serious violence (including working with the voluntary and community sector to develop our work with communities).
